I'm Jill Dunsford. I was a physiotherapist in the N.H.S. for about 11 years and one morning I awoke feeling rather unwell. Believing I was just suffering a hangover, I went to work.
Very quickly I started to feel seriously unwell. I had double vision, nausea, sweating, faintness and then my heart started racing. I thought I was dying so I took myself to casualty where I was told I was having a panic attack.
I hung around at work all day and then went home still feeling terrible.
Over the next 2 weeks I developed another 20 or so symptoms.
Ache in left arm
Poor heat regulation
Night sweats
Trembling as if there was an electric motor inside me
Poor blood sugar control
Breathlessness
Dizziness
Weakness
Exhaustion
Brain fog
Sleeplessness
Tachycardia
Irregular heartbeats
A feeling I was going to drop dead at any minute
Bouts of crying
Constipation/diarrhoea
Nausea
Anxiety
Muscle jerks
Eye problems
Food sensitivities
Cold hands and feet
I went from being a fit and active 34 year old playing squash, tennis, you name it, I did it, to someone who couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without resting halfway up in 2 weeks.
I spent 6 years waiting for medical help and then, one morning, I decided I was going to help myself. My RECOVERY has depended on numerous DISCOVERIES, the least of which was that, even though my illness started after a viral infection, all my symptoms derived from unresolved, unintegrated and mainly childhood traumas. Dealing with my history, changing my life story from one of hopelessness and despair to happiness, joy and a deep sense of wellbeing has healed my life and my illness.
If I can heal myself, so can you.
What follows are some of my DISCOVERIES that led to my RECOVERY.

Looking forward to reading more of these ...
